2019 was the first year the work of Summer Session materials was developed in-house and I took on the project. Previously, Northwestern’s Global Marketing and Communications handled the production which included outsourcing the overall design. The summer programs do not need to follow Northwestern brand standards so I cast a wider net while searching for inspiration. My goal was to create a colorful design that would be able to transition from print materials to digital advertising. I worked with the printer to select fluorescent inks to really make the text pop. This design was used in posters, postcards, shuttle advertisements, banner ads, emails, and videos played on televisions on Northwestern’s Evanston campus.
